Does anyone make a decent votex or ed30 replica front splitter?
Ive seen some half decent looking ed30 ones on the bay but they are all fibreglass so i'm thinking they will be naff and break...
anyone able to help me out with viable options, really want a votex but they are soooooo expensive :(

No I hadn't :drinking:
Agree they are quite expensive, but the original votex part is nearly £300 is it not?

You can get them for £250 posted from Germany but then need them painted. You can get them for the same price from TPS if you know someone who gets good discount

My only concern is this...
"High quality german glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP)"
What does that mean exactly? will it be good quality?
anyone used them :)
-
^^^^ Fibre Glass will be less malleable than ABS plastic and more brittle. Generally F/G products won't flex so tend to chip and crack whereas plastic will have some bend in it. SRS-Tec are pretty good though.

just priced one up. at 189 euros, plus 130 euros to post to the uk. total is £276 so its pointless getting this one, id rather spend the bit more to get a genuine one!
-
anybody got a link to the vortex German one ?
-
If your searching vortex you won't have much luck...
VOTEX is what you need. :happy2:

The top link MC has put (autohouse kunzmann eBay page) is where I got mine from. I bought through their eBay site MC linked to and I received it in 4 days via UPS tracked, only downside is they didnt forward me the tracking ID.
I'm using them again in a few weeks to get some new Valeo rear lights as mine have failed. Alot of people on here have used them for te lights and ive got the votex splitter so they can be trusted :happy2:

An option for Ed30 splitter...
What do you guys think? I've got a brand new bumper which I have smoothed & to finish it off before paint I want to smooth the splitter In, Is it worth spending so much more on the Votex one or do I just go Ed30 smoothed in...
Opinions would be greatfully recieved :)
-
Big al had a votex smoothed into the front bumper and it looked the nuts, I think he may still have it for sale so that could be an option

Think it went, but I will chase it up :)
This was my inspiration for wanting to smooth the votex splitter in but ive never seen an Ed30 smoothed in and wonder how much different to two will actually be.
I will defo chase this up with Al tho cheers chap :happy2:
-
if you got the votex one, and didn't smooth it in, you could always sell it later on here and get most of the extra cost back.....

A brand new ed30 splitter costs £290 to £330 from dealers/TPS where as the votex is only £260 through kunzmann. Both would then need painting on top of that price. Second hand they both seem to go between £150 and £200 and very rarely appear
