Post by: ARV_90 on July 28, 2013, 06:58:58 pm

No customs charges here :happy2:  Had a pair of these installed for a couple of years without any trouble  Genuine HELLA too.   You might want to get 4 osram nightbreakers for them.

I obtained some from Markus, great with HID kit, why should there be Customs charges?

Do these units definitely come as RHD or are they simply switching a LHD headlamp to prevent blinding oncoming RHD traffic?
The part numbers for genuine Xenons are explicitly described in ETKA as either LHD or RHD yet certain unscrupulous people here have sold Xenons on the forum as RHD when they are clearly marked as LEFT HAND DRIVE.
I was nearly taken in recently by someone doing just this. Still haven't bought Xenons after nearly 2 years of looking and being completely duped by a guy in Scotland who took me for £450.
Gentlemen. Be careful out there.

within the EU,there wont be any custom charges!!

I do understand the EU... it was the wording in the postage of "International items may be subject to customs processing and additional charges" but as people have had no issues it is probably fine. The listing is open to offers has anyone managed to chip a bit off the price.

I have seen others on ebay slightly cheaper... I don't think they are made by Hella though, but they do look like they are good quality.

These have the correct flick up to the left, the international postage customs disclaimer only applies if you live outside of the EU eg South London

As a born & bred Central & N. Londoner I tend to agree. But weirdly I live in SW.London now. Ciao.

On a tangent, are you guys using xenon bulbs? If so and have had an mot, was there any issues with the headlight level adjustment switch? As all switches should work if fitted.

I had a pair that someone has installed previously and my level adjustor doesn't work due to the factory fit projector lights being auto levelling and this have a blanking plate where normal halogens have a manual leveller.

Thanks for the guide, They certainly look the part although I'm not sure I will fit a HID Kit as some people say it upsets the electronics on the car.... More for aesthetics for me.

Do he hells ones have the beam adjuster motors fitted so you are still able to adjust the lights via the dash...

Hellas have manual adjust motors and no problems with electrics as far as I am aware. The ones from Energized customs could be Depo ones if they aren't Hella.

Yeah I was part of the DEPO GB. Have had mine fitted with a HID kit for the past few months with no problems and they look great :happy2:

Few pics (don't have any night pics but the HIDs look even better at night):

I need to change my side lights to LED's but that's pretty difficult with the xenon lights :sad1:

Think I'm going to have them from energized customs they seem to be doing the job and are a lot cheaper, So just to confirm they are complete with level adjuster motors so they work from the dash
