Title: Juddering gt sport
Post by: sean76 on July 31, 2013, 06:18:00 pm
My 170 gt sport has started kangarooing at low revs in first and second gear. Boot it and its fine, pulls like a train right through the gears. The injector recall has been done and its recently had its 74,000 mile service.
Anybody else had anything like this
Cheers sean

Mine has started doing this as well, its more noticeable when cold and only seems to happen in the first 10 minutes of driving in the morning.

Mine seems to be ok in a morning, but problem occurs when it's warm.
You any ideas what it could be.

First question would be has it had the injector and loom recall done? I would put money on it being the DPF. mine used to stutter on light throttle before I had it removed.

Yeah the recall has been done, or so my service history says.

Don't mind me asking.

The recall on my golf was done on my car 6 months/13k miles ago and was last serviced 6 weeks ago. What makes me think its the DMF is a vibration sound at low RPM in 1-2 gear but apart from that it pulls like a train.

I paid a smidge over £500. That was to gut the DPF plus stage 2 map including having the DPF and EGR mapped out. This was a discounted Autosport price though. I would recommend getting a Darkside Developments DPF delete pipe as opposed to just having the guts removed if funds allow.

Noticed a bit of clutch slip on the drive home this evening so it looks like the DMF and clutch are going to need to be replaced.
