Title: Oil question
Post by: Chris92 on August 01, 2013, 08:58:45 pm: I have a gti mk5 (stock) and I know the correct oil is the castrol edge 5w 30 with the vw 504 00/ 507 00 on it but my question is I can't find any oil that has long life or short life stamped on it somewhere. So is all this castrol edge essentially just a long life oil and you just use the same oil wether your set at a yearly service or long life service?

That's what I have been using castrol edge 5w 30 with the vw 504 / 507 on the back. So I had the right stuff all along, thanks for clearing this up for me :happy2:
