Title: Juddery gear change in lower gears?
Post by: Rob. on August 03, 2013, 06:24:37 pm
I've had the TFSI Jetta for 4 months now. My last few cars have been PD-engined VWs, so this is first reasonably powerful petrol I've had in a fair while.

Something I've noticed is that it's really difficult to make a smooth shift between 1st/2nd and 2nd/3rd. It's a little less noticeable with full bore, snap changes, but I have to be really delicate on releasing the clutch at more sedate speeds

Is this a common thing with the 2.0TFSI engine, or a sign of a problem? Or do I just need to upgade my driving skills? :driver:

Thanks.

Hi,

I have been experiencing this over the past couple of weeks, have you managed to find out what the problem was??

I put it two tanks of high octane fuel and some fuel injector and seems to have cleared it up! :-)
