Title: Is this Head Unit any good?
Post by: Max99 on August 08, 2013, 10:59:58 am
My CD player is skipping like crazy and I have no method of connecting my phone/ipod up to my car at the moment, so found this and wandering if it's any good ?

You can get a  rns 510 for around 350 to be honest.

I've gone for something similar mate and am just waiting for it to turn up. I went for an Erisin 1019v from Ebay and paid £217. Can't see much difference in the spec compared to the one that you've linked, especially for £82 more..

I spent quite a while comparing all the different models they do looking for one that gave me exactly what I wanted. £299 seems quite expensive to me for what you're getting!

Interesting, is it shipping from like Hong Kong?

How easy/hard are they to fit, bearing in mind i'm not a fan of fitting stuff, hence why was drawn to the free fitting at original listing

Fitting was incredibly easy mate, an exact swap. Just buy some trim removal tools so you don't scratch the panels.
I bought mine from Erisin on Ebay from the UK depot.
I've given a bit of a review with some pics too here :
