Title: AIRCON pressure sensor problems
Post by: larrand on August 09, 2013, 05:55:45 pm
Hello all,
Joined after owning a 55 plate 1.9tdi mk5 for 18 months figured it could come in useful!

Having troubles with my aircon - the trouble being it doesntt work. Recently had an airbag fault wiped and it came up the aircon pressure sensor isnt functioning. Upon inspection this was said to be rotten/corroded and needs replacing in order to return cool air (system is fully gassed). Is this something I can fix myself? - if so without draining and regassing as that seems to be the most expensive part?

Havnt tried locating the sensor yet myself - sorry if ive missed the info on here had a quick search but no results.

Thanks in advance

Normally the pressure sensor can be removed whilst still full of refrigerant ..if I remember its between washer bottle and drivers head light ...but do check

sent using my own fingers
