Title: oil top up help

Gti currently running on quantum longlife 0w 30 needs a top up but i can't get to vw today to buy any.
Anyone know if its ok to top up with castrol edge 0w 30 ?
Heading over to france in about 3 hrs so any advice appreciated !

Can you get to Halfords? Anything with VW 504/507 on the bottle will be fine.

Halfords do Castrol Edge which is exactly what you need.

Not cheap though.  :surprised:

Try Euro car parts is there one near you? they usually have an offer on for 4 litres circa £28, Edge is the stuff.

Sainsbury's had castrol gtx edge on offer last wk £10 a ltr  :happy2:

yep castrol edge is the only thing my gti runs on,and feels a lot better for it too imho :drinking:
