Title: 5mm spacers - issues
Post by: jat115 on August 16, 2013, 09:22:05 am
Does anyone run 5mm wheel spacers up front with the standard wheels (monza 2s)?
I have had to fit some due to installing the Nqsbbk and because of the internal hub chamfer on the alloys the wheels are difficult to install. I.e they cannot centralise correctly on the hub, resulting in vibration over 60 mph.
The spacers are hubcentric but as they are only 5mm there is no 'lip' on them.
Anyone running this setup have issues?

Smallest size you can get with a lip is 8mm H&R ones.

This will cure the wheel wobble issue.  :happy2:

Go for 8mm and fit LONGER BOLTS...

The standard hub lip measures at 12mm so I don't see how an 8mm lipped spacer would work?
In that it wouldn't sit flush against the hub face.
