You wont untill vw contact its regestured keeper, so you need to get onto them once you have the keys. Looks a good find, any spec??

Nice one mate!

Only picked up my Ed30 last week and absolutely love it!

I've already been on to VW and now have a 3 month wait for my confirmation of build no and plaque.

Enjoy the car - looks awesome. :happy2:

Nice  :happy2:

Re the build number - I had heard nothing in the 16 months I have had my Edition 30 so emailed their customer services.   They replied - and said they are ordered from Germany when people ask !!!  As a result and as I have only just requested my plaque I am told there is up to a 3 month wait .... not good !

a lot of grey ed 30 are motorpoint imports so you may not even get a plaque , imo its worth looking into , i would nt touch an import  :scared:

depends on the dealers mate , they dont have to tell you , they are good for dealers cause they pay less for them and retail at normal prices but take one back to p/x and they batter you , find out , normally made for cyprus and places like that

Where did you get the idea it was an import, thats a very unusual post He says he got it from the same dealer as Rich.  :chicken:

Lovely looking motor by the way.  :happy2:

totally understand that you were sharing your knowledge and experience and warning that there is a potential pitfall pal , could just have been a bit more subtle

I can understand that but what makes you think this car is a import other than motorpoint sell grey cars.

Looks great - Happy motoring be warned this forum will encourage you to spend money on modding, detailing and watch's  :jumpmove: :jumpmove:

Enjoy

On the import side from a main dealer is very unlikely pretty all is good -  From carsupermarkets you have to be careful and they are legally bound to tell you if it is once asked

where are the french jokes!!! the renault imports were cheaper to buy new and had few extra bits, they should tell you though, way out of order, didnt realise you could get posh golf from netto :signLOL:

motorpoints ed 30 were only £19.999 new about £2.5 k under vw prices but if you go to p/x it most dealers will offer £2.5 k under the crap book price they would offer on a uk car
i know the feeling us guys get when we re waiting to pick up a new car , ive had loads and would nt want to spoil it for any one , i was just making sure people are aware of what can happen in the shark world of used cars
may be i was a little abrupt, but if it had turned out to be an inport im sure he would have thanked me long term :sad1:
