Iv just purchased a set of ttrs calipers for my mk5 gti. Just wondered if I could use a different disc with them. Ttrs discs are around £400. I was wondering if you could use vw pheaton w12 360mm disc which are 34mm wide. Around the same size as the ttrs disc. Only thing I'm not sure of the offset on the disc compared to ttrs.

Don't think so. Ttrs or ap 362mm discs. They are 1270 though.

Oh well it was just a thought. Yeah I did see them ap ones. Nice but i cant afford them for me. Il just have to get sum ttrs ones I suppose. Cheers alex.

I see them nearly bought them but there rs3 they have different offset to ttrs and don't fit mk5.

What about a Merc disc of some sort? I've been looking at some of these calipers but was wondering about what discs to use.

Go on this site, it allows you to see specs of brakes and gives you centre bore sizes and offsets and disc thickness and diameters etc also gives good detailed pics :)
So as long as you roughly know what 5x112 bolt pattern cars are you can search for the discs to match the setup you want to run. I'm sure you can search certain specs to and it will tell you what cars have them fitted
