Just another thumbs up from me regards my recent dealings with Mr K.
First popped in and saw Alex a few months back when down that way.
Where we discussed what I was trying to achieve with my Golf.
Then when my new suspension finally arrived I decided he was the right person to install the coilovers and other bits I wanted fitting. His VAG chassis expertise was very reassuring.
So even though he's a fair distance away and the bus trip back from Milton Keynes was a right pain in the ar$e (lot cheaper than the train..). The end result is a totally transformed car with the elusive ride quality I was after.
He was very thorough during the install and kept me fully posted during the two weeks my car was there.
Luckily my anthracite Turinis also survived.
As Mike visited AKS while my car was in and I think he was rather keen on them..

Drooled over your upgrades a couple of times. The Turinis look mega in anthracite & I bet the chassis is amazing now! :driver:

Indeed Mike.
The suspension from Sweden is pretty mega.
Helped by the additonal bits and pieces fitted too - top mounts/bushes/drop links etc.
Although these coilovers are not exactly 'budget' gotta say (for me) they are really worth every penny.
The dual flow valving in the dampers works superbly.
Will do a review sometime..
Get them silver boots 'greyed up' matey

when i lived in Stoke-on-Trent i was having Alex work on my car. now i'm back at uni in London and my car lives on my parents' drive in Yorkshire and Alex is still going to be servicing it and doing a minor brake upgrade in a couple of weeks.
so consider yourself lucky you're only in MK!

I'm in Newcastle upon Tyne mate...
Milton Keynes to Newcastle was a pain in the rear on the coach - quite literally.
But worth the effort..
Was actually only in MK after Alex dropped me off in VRS.
