Evening all
I wonder? Is there a standard price for a cam
Belt change on 170 GT TDI or does it all depend on the garage?

Most shops, if not every one, will look up the 'hour/job' and then charge you their own '$ or gbp/hour for the job'. It's one of those dreaded huge cost services you 'should do' in order to prevent a huge bill later unfortunately. A DSG fluid change is another one...how are you with diy jobs? There are some really thorough diy posts on many forums if you like ;p

There is a standard rate at all VW Garages, it's on the website IIRC  :happy2:

A place not far from me lists standard prices for some VW service items (excluding VAT though)
