Title: Central Locking
Post by: zenicman9 on August 22, 2013, 10:19:07 am
Hey Guys

Recently my key fob has stopped working all together. I can't seem to local or unlock the car with the key fob at all.

I took it to VW and they have said it still has battery in.

I have a few questions

1) How do you change a battery in a fob?
2) If it turns out not to be the fob what else could it be?

Most likely the fob electrics  -  to confirm his you'll either need to use VCDS or swop the bits out of your working fob to prove its not the transponder chip!
