As per the title really - anyone know any shops/websites where i can get some 17x7.5j steel wheels in this country or EU

Nigh on impossible. There may be something off a Merc, but I can't find much info. The only VAG ones you'll find are listed for a transporter, and the centre bore is wrong so you'd need spigot rings to suit.
Type 9215 17x7
KFZ Steel Wheels (http://www.kfz-raeder.at/38227_EN.htm?webnam=VW%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&offset38428=43)

Also the stud pattern is wrong aswell. I looked into this as I was after some 17" steels to use as winters and clear the brakes. I settles for a cheap set of Classix in the end.

Oh yeah, silly me!

Although I wished they were the same as I quite liked the look of some of the Transporter steels.

Type 8627 if you run PCD correction bolts (http://www.kfz-raeder.at/38227_EN.htm?webnam=Hyundai%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&offset38428=25)
Or type 9993 (http://www.kfz-raeder.at/38227_EN.htm?webnam=Mazda%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&offset38428=25)

Thanks chaps. I'm after 17" wheels for the Merc because I've got the winter tyres in 17" & need 17" to clear the brakes - I fancied going hardcore
(taxi driver ) steel, but may just opt for some nice secondhand alloy wheels.
I've got my old Audi wheels (which i'm going to sell on), but I'm concerned how they'll look and what the insurance company will think since they aren't OEM
