Title: Remap reset to stock
Post by: Chris92 on August 25, 2013, 09:25:03 pm
I'm thinking of getting my car remapped most probably by r-tech anyways I live in the north east and as you'll know it's a far old travel to where r-tech are based, but what I want to know if I had them to remap my car and if I wanted the car returned back to stock could I just get my local vw Dealer to flash the map back to stock?

Know when I asked them at lookers in Darlington I was told they won't do it if its had a map on it

Thanks for replying, maybes I'm best of ringing a few dealers around to check. The other opions would be go revo or just have another trip back down to r-tech to have it back to stock as im guessing they would do that, just be easier if i didnt have to do that. Do revo do custom maps and can any of you compare r tech to revo maps at all?

revo are a genetic map where as r tech are custom mapping..You could put revo on and buy the tps switch to stick it back to revo versions of a stock map

My dealer said he would do it no problem. Give your local one a call and ask.
