Hi I've recently brought a Das 6 Pro Dual machine polisher but I don't know what pad I should buy for a beginner, I've been researching Chemical guys which was recommended to me on here but I'm still confused on what to buy as there is so many different pads.
I use autoglym SRP and autoglym HD wax can some 1 please tell me which 1 will suit these product and a beginner
Thank you

For stock German paint you need an orange pad and a white pad.
I use Menzerna polishes.
FG400 with the Orange pad and SF4000 with the white pad.
You can use a single stage with the PF2300 on a green pad if you really like.
As you are a beginner I would recommed watching some Youtube videos and reading some guides as you can easily get it wrong and make it look much worse. Even better would be to buy a scrap panel and a sungun, around 40-50 for a Brinkmann Dual Xenon - And even better, a paint depth gauge. Around £70 on ebay for a cheap one..
Autoglym SRP and HD wax are completely different products, one is a paint cleanser/filler polish/pre-wax cleanser and the other is a wax also known as an LSP / Last Step Product which is what you'd put on the car after you've polished the paint to protect the surface from UV rays, industrial fallout and provide nice water beading characteristics and an element of self-cleaning capabilities.

I've got an orange and white pad hexlogic pad as well and they work great. Orange pad for getting swirls out and the white pad to refine the finish. I use megs 105/205 compounds. Look up "the junkman" on YouTube he's got some brilliant how-to videos on machine polishing. You can make your own sun gun which I've done out of an old 14v drill and getting a sonus bulb. Cost me £18 for the bulb and it is exactly the same as the one in the sun gun which retails for £400!

Meguiars Microfibre system is also worth a look but the pad gets gunked up very quickly.
-
I have bought the sonus sfx pads should I use the orange and white in them or do different brands have different colors?
-
Check with the manufacturer..
