Real eye candy there! :congrats:
-
Bet that drives like a pile of poop though!
-
No, it will travel lovely on that transporter from show to show but is still eye candy though!

You mean drive..

I've been out in a car with air and really isn't bad. Pretty stiff .. Like cheap coilies.

wait for 2/3 months , everybody will have ind's
But it looks really good. :notworthy:
-
They where all over edition38 and I can imagine will be all over players.

I was referring to the 5 deg camber on the rear! :surprised:
-
Only ever seen vehicles of such condition at shows - passed more super cars on the roads than one modded like that!
Either way plenty hard work gone into that and I hope the owner enjoys every minute of it :happy2:

Hasn't been driven anywhere, still has stickers on the tyres!

Keen eye there :congrats:

I'm still wondering what they use those massive spanners on the wall for...
-
Fixing it so you get no paw prints on that beautiful paintwork!
-
^^^^ Paintwork (and its condition) looks immense, a great amount of detailing I imagine. :notworthy:
Nothing unique about the rest of it though, just looks like any other GTI/Eddy with a set of 19"s that's on air. :indifferent:

That's the difference though - just a model or super model ?

Excuse my ignorance here but how exactly does a car with such a lowered stance drive round corners? It appears the tyres and wheels are millimetres from the wings and so spacer'ed they couldn't possibly turn efficiently without contact with wing and arch. Or is turning not the point here...?!
I kind of like the look but the "eeeekkkk" every time I encountered a bend in such a car as my precious wheel combo scraped my bodywork would take some fun out of proceedings..

Air bags.

Air ride suspension. Up for go, down for show. (Everyone uses the "empty can" example, so here's one)

i know it's personal preference but i would much rather a well sorted car that doesn't look that good over a trailer queen.
the paint work on that car looks stunning, but i would lose the big wheels, the silly suspension and stickers and give it some B12s or decent coils instead
world would be a very boring place if we all thought alike tho, and if the owner is happy with his car then fair play to him

Doh!!
I'm so stoopid!
I was just out in the US and filmed some extreme low riders - old Chevy's which literally hopped down the street, bouncing 4, 5 feet off the deck. Hilarious. I don't know why I didn't put 2 + 2 together.....other than the Yank tanks are real cruisers and I thought our Golf's were for proper driving. I'm in awe of the fabulous work people put into their cars though - I remember when buying a K&N air filter was a big deal!
Thanks for enlightening me!
-
Is it literally just me that really dislikes that?
wheels are hideous
anyone else?
-
Ditto a waste of a lovely tornado no point to it imo

Yeap, the wheels look like they were designed by a 3 year old (a blind one at that).
-
is it a tdi?
-
It's deffo not a tdi ha
-
These rotiforms are appearing everywhere so if you are on 3sdm's you are now a scene queen has been
-
All due respect to the owner of that beauty, but if I own I beautiful car, it has to be driven. Not sure how practical that would be with the air on that. It would drive me nuts just looking at it.
-
Never mind the Air ride! he has put large gold lettering on the front screen.
-
The golf is beautiful. We can argue argue about whether its practical etc etc, but its a show car and does exactly that. The golf is clearly living a good life.
Fair play to the owner and if they're reading, cars mint.
