Hi all, just got myself a mk5 gti on Friday. Would like to get it stage 1 mapped first of all, then a nice set of wheels. What are your thoughts on an induction kit or am I better withe a decent panel filter? Also is it recommend to upgrade my DV if so which one? Thanks in advance Ryan :jumpmove: I'm not clever enough to uploaded a photo :(

Hello mate!
I've got the updated dump valve of a late edition 30 I didn't go for the piston operated one due to people's revies saying it doesn't close quick enough on highly tuned cars.
However forge have just bought out a new one check there site out for more info.
If your looking for power get an intake as the standard air is is abit restrictive

Welcome mate, I'm from Edinburgh but have a few friends up in Aberdeen, Peterhead, Portknockie and the likes. Where abouts are you from. You'll find plenty helpful threads on here. And even more ways to spend you're money!! :happy2:

Welcome on board. :drinking:
The Diverter Valve you'll want is the Revision G, P/N 06H 145 710 G, £35 from your local dealers.
Leave the OEM filter in place, get the map put on and see what you think. You'll be VERY happy by the performance gain as it is. An intake can bring some lag to low down torque so unless your always running your car to high revs stick with the OEM filter, you'll not get any gain adding an aftermarket panel filter (such as a Pipercross or ITG) either.
If/when you go stage 2, add a CAI then along with a decent TBE system, all IMO though.
Check/change your cam follower and do the same with your PCV before getting the map, good precautionary measures.

As above mate ^^^
All good advice to get the car running 100 per cent before tuning.
I have the revision D DV which seems to be serving me well at APR stage 2+.
Where you located?
I'm in Glasgow :)
Quick dyno run and VCDS check will make sure everything is in order.
