The old Audi A3 cabriolet was aesthetically a bit of a shocker, in my opinion. It looked like an A3 hatch with roof removed by the Fire Brigade.
I love the look of this though, it's 180mm longer, far more elegant with a proper boot, and looks as if it has been specifically designed as a convertible. Furthermore, it's 50kg lighter than the old A3 cab, and in S3 form with 296bhp has the potential to be a cracker I reckon.

looks too girly for me......most convertibles do.

Indeed - My thoughts too , had this discussion before i think some months ago about convertibles being girly , Seen they are selling about 80 Golf R Mk6 convertibles around the country 13reg ish and some under £30k , still too girly for me

Would suit my daughter a treat, she's a hairdresser, I kid you not.
TBF, I'd have one (I'd say it was the wife's though).

I don't think this one looks girlie in the way the Golf and the old A3 cab do.
With more of a rear boot, I think it looks great. I'd drive one, and I wouldn't feel the need to keep the roof up and sunglasses on so no-one could see me, like I did in my exe's Mini S convertible JCW!!

^^^^ I've driven the previous A3 Cab' a bit as my auntie has one and I'm the one who takes it for servicing//repairs for her (when needed), now that really does looks GIRLY! No argument there. It'ss a lovely car to be in and drive.

Didn't like this yesterday, it looks a bit like a mini A5 given the boot over hang, S3 saloon on the other hand looks great and nicely understated
