Mines is nearly 80k, am thinking of selling around 120k. What about you?
-
43k now, when i bought my mk3 it had 105k on it already and 173k when i sold it. still going now according to mycarcheck
-
Mines on 120k, sold my last car (SAAB 9-5 Aero) at 150k, still see it now, 2 years on...
SAAB's are quick, esp. when tuned, and have a strong engine, shame they had to be killed by GM:

So, to answer your question, I would say see how you fair, if you have a dog then patch it up and sell it on, otherwise stick with it and maintain it properly and you'll be good for a long time. :happy2:

I bought mine on 47k and said I it 3 years on Wednesday. I originally said I'd keep it until it was on 70k or three years which ever come first, but it doesn't look like its going anywhere til at least 90k now
-
I have done 4000 miles this year, and the car has done 64k all in.
-
Gonna keep mine until it goes bang! :happy2:
-
Got my eddy on 44k and now on 49k. I said I will keep it till 60k-70k but I'm sad to say I'm bored already. I go through cars so quick I'm debating doing few mods to see if that changes my mind at all

What's it running power wise, I assume it's mapped? No pleasing some ppl :drinking:

That wasnt a bang as such!! :booty:
-
Ha, not nice though; like hitting the brakes (if you were WOTing at the time like me).
-
I bought my '04 gti on 24k a month ago.. I do about 17k a year, So i'm planning on selling after 2 years/60k
-
Still standard mate. Haven't had chance to buy anything for it with work commitments. So much want to do but where I'm bored I'm wondering if it is worth it. Im sure you will tell me it will be lol

All day, everyday and twice on Sunday's :happy2: It's the torque increase that really makes the difference, like driving a different car mate... much, much more enjoyable. I'd say get it mapped, then if your not grinning; sell it. :drinking:

I will sell mine when I either get bored of it or fancy something else.
-
No a GTi but GT TDI. After racking up 19k in a little over 7 months i'm going to keep it for at least another 40k miles (so 18 months) or might just run it into the ground but that could take a while :)
-
not a GTI, but an A3 2.0T. had 21500ish on it when i bought it in the summer of 2010. got about 65k on it now. i've gone back to uni in London and it lives with my parents in Yorkshire who use it as a run around atm. when i graduate (touch wood) i'm gonna get a new car (Cayman hopefully if i've got the pennies together) and this will be stripped out and used as a track day toy. then i'll keep it until i bin it in a corner or it goes bang
-
That's the plan. Just need to find the time really. Think main problem has been I just use it to commute to and from work. Wouldn't mind a nice induction kit and a TBE as well
-
Gonna keep the GTi until it runs into the ground. Just having too much fun with the r tech remap :driver:
-
mines an 05 candy white bought it 4 years ago with 38k on the clock now it has 88k not selling it until it goes bang ....just bought a q5 sline plus for the wife so ill have to keep it now ,,,,,still the best car ive owned
-
No idea when il sell my eddy. Drive it far too much and up to 56k now. Never had a car I love anywhere near as much as this, I'm 22 and have had quiet a few fast cars.
-
Im hoping to actually keep mine until I pay the finance off , sick of only keeping cars a year or 2 then being stung when moving negative equity around!I bought it last october with 18000 on it , now sitting on 23500 , so it will never be a high milage car , still standard just now.
-
Mines a 2007 non ed30 GTI with a few mods (no remap yet) 81k now 55k when i bought it, I've had it for 4 years and was thinking of selling up and getting a +300bhp Focus ST, but just took the GTI out for a quick drive and now i'm thinking of keeping the GTI and just getting a remap & maybe even going for T04 turbo etc......
I've spent a lot on the GTI and still have a brand new LSD & uprated clutch sat in my garage waiting to be fitted. Oh what to do??  ?
-
I'm not too fussed about the selling at a specific mileage its just when the next car i'm after comes down to a respectable price. :P
-
keeping mine forever as loving it! Few cars out there which could replace it!
Have 60k miles on it in total but got new engine with 10k on it only!
