I've got a gt sport 170 with no engine mods and I'm contemplating either cleaning my egr or replacing it with an allerd delete pipe.
What are other sootchucker owners views on the eve clean or delete option
Cheers sean

Clean it, then have it software deleted if you get/have a remap & keep it in situ is my advice.
You'd need a tuner to write out the EGR anyway if you use one of those blingy delete kits.

So it can be mapped out rather than deleted and keep everything lookin stock, is that correct

Yes this is how it is on my Altea TDI.

Cheers mate.saved me 80 odd quid :happy2: :congrats:

Don't you get a little bit of exhaust leak through even if its been switched off?
I think that's why people delete them
-
on mine its just deleted out on the map
-
What about a blanking plate and mapped out

That's what I had done to my old GTTDI 150 never had to worry about a blocked egr again :jumpmove:

Petrol engines don't have EGR (as far as I understand).
