Title: Brand New RNS 510 DAB with no 7 digit postcode entry|!!

Hello gents

A friend has recently bought a new Beetle convertible fully specced out including a DAB RNS510.  The satnav doesn't do 7 digit postcode entry much to her annoyance.  Here is the Navigation set up  info screen followed by the Map info (I think):

Do I need a different Firmware or Map version to make this work?  Really surprised such a new car and RNS unit is not up to date.

map looks like its out of date. You may need version 9

On my one to get 7 digit postcode after the first 4 digits i have to press the space bar then enter the last three

Thanks for the replies.  I'm going to try a later version of the map software.  I'll update this post when I've tried it.

Had a V9 Maps disc which immediately coaxed the RNS into 7 digit postcode entry so I've left it in the DVD drive and hopefully it will load onto the Hard drive over the next few days when the vehicle is driven. The Map version number had changed in the set up menu too - looks promising!
