Title: Pirelli edition
Post by: A1SGP on September 16, 2013, 08:13:50 pm
I've just noticed that some pirelli golfs have front head light washer jets and some don't , mine hasn't , were these a optional extra ?

The ones you've seen.., are they Xenon's?  (as you're probably aware, all factory fitted Xenons have to have washers by law).  Although I've had none Xenon cars with washers... not sure about the Mk5 Golf though :popcornsoda:

You can get the Winter Pack which contained headlamp washers with halogens.

And there's people like me that retrofitted them for something to do on my old car.

Yep an expensive extra at that but worth every penny.

they operate automatically after every 3 or five sprays of your washer jets! :happy2:

They also only operate when your headlights are on. Quite common for the fuse to pop as well.

Fuse, not enough fluid in tank or they've been deactivated in VCDSZ.
Hold the stalk for longer to try next time and your lights must be on to work.

Puddle lights I think they are called, and probably part of the winter pack described above. :happy2:

The puddle lights are a feature of the electric folding mirrors (optional extra).

There are a lot of extras that could be added to the MK5!
