Title: Out with the old.....in with the new GTD
Post by: brookesb32 on September 20, 2013, 10:44:15 pm
Sad times as I sold my beloved TR mk5 GTI a few days ago

Good times, I picked this beauty of a mk6 gtd up yesterday - pretty much every extra including DSG (never had before and it is awesome), XENONS, adaptive chassis control, RNS510, lux pack, winter pack, dynaudio, front and rear sensors with reverse camera, storage pack cruise control, 18" Charleston Shadows,

All she needs is rear LED lights and all will be well! Only a couple of pics as I drove 200 miles home with it so needs a good clean

I have the same engine in mine. The sound it makes is generated from a speaker in the scuttle

The noise is great, sounds very real if it is from a speaker

Really nice replacement there.

Been looking at these over the last few months and seem to hold money very well.  :happy2:

They certainly seem to and I have to say the build quality seems better than the mk5 too, no rattles and solid 'sounds like a golf' door closing etc. plus, and it may just be the adaptive suspension, the steering is so tight and accurate with less body roll than my old GTI - very impressed!

Looks very nice , You have done well to find one with the extras. Looking for one myself

Did you get it from a VW dealer or indy/private.

Was from an Indy dealer - I wanted XENONS and they are super rare, all the other stuff became a bonus, glad I took the plunge. If you like leather there is a similar one on eBay/autotrader or if not bothered there are lots around and some have high spec

Lovely car!

I replaced my mk5 gti with a GTD DSG few months ago.

Mine has DPF delete and remap so goes really well now :-)

Well they put leather as standard near the end of the mk6 run so that will make your life easier :)

Rear led are on the list but like you say a tad pricey.  :scared:

Thanks - you won't regret it when you do get one
