Post by: CocoPops on September 02, 2009, 11:30:43 am
What parts do I need to swap the 6cd changer (with rns510) for an mdi? That's what I need to use my ipod right?

You will need the MDI box that fits in the armrest, and the iPod specific MDI cable.

Part numbers? Easy to find? Easy to swap out?

I guess you have not done the f/w upgrade yet Lee?

The new f/w allows the use of SDHC cards so you could just buy a 32Gb one and save yourself some hassle/money.

My dealer was doing this for £200 fitted a while ago but I believe on top of this you would need to buy an adapter for the ipod.

True hedge. I am on 2660. But I like the thought of plug and play of ipod.
Rather than exporting itunes library to sd card.
Unless there's an easy way?
