Hi guys,
Just checked my PCV by removing the pipe on the manifold and blowing through it, there was no resistance at all so im guessing its failed. Where can i get a replacement part online? ive tried ECP but they dont have it. Also how can i check the DV as i understand this goes, is the only way to inspect it? Cheers

I have just checked it again using a different method by pulling the dip stick out and the engine idles rough which would indicate that the PCV is working so no need to purchase a new one. Still what is the best way to check the DV?

Best places to purchase = Stealers or TPS.
Best way to check a failed DV = Take it out and have a look.

Thanks for the reply, after looking around online i think i do actually need to replace my PCV, i dnt have a vw or TPS near me so ive looked online and found this site. http://www.gsfcarparts.com/parts/engine-parts/crankcase/breather-valve is that the correct part?

Not sure, you'll need the part number.

I have emailed the seller and they have told me that it is an aftermarket part, has anyone got any experience with this? Shall I stick with oem?

Just got an email back from the same guy, he is now saying I need this http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=300874390182 that doesn't seem right :/

Stick with OEM PCV or the other option is a PCV revamp kit. Either REVO or BSH for those, around £90 ish IIRC.
