Title: turbo noise help

hi just want to check if this noise is normal or do I have a boost leak as I have never owned a turbo motor before, basically when I accelerate in any gear I get this shhhhhhhhhhhhh sound then when I let off the gas I get the DV pshhhh noise. the shhhh noise is always there when I accelerate and I can only hear the noise when the window is down also.

The noise has always been there since I've owned the car so I don't have anything to compare against noise/power wise. I have checked the DV and the PCV and all is well, car is all stock too

Sounds like a normal turbo sound to me to be honest, if you could post a vid and let us hear it it may help determine if it is normal.

cheers for replying, i just didnt know with the stock airbox if it was normal for it to make that noise or if it was ment to be fairly quite. wouldnt be able to get a sound clip for about two weeks, but il try and get one sorted then  :smiley:

That's boost shooting back into the intake post MAF sensor ;p
