just bought a rns 510 sat nav system, pluged it all in an then realised the aerial plugs are different does anyone know which adaptor i need as ive seen over 5 different ones on ebay and i dont know which to get.

what i did was to get the aerial plugs in your hand,and carefully push the centre metal part of the plug out of the plastic part. You should be left with 2 bare metal plugs, and two plastic shrouds with 2 very small metal circlips inside (brass coloured).
I just fitted mine and secured the leads using a very small tie wrap to the fan aperture. No problems in operation.
Either this or buy the proper converter from VW for about £20.

As above,i just popped the plastic fakra connectors off, leaving the metal connectors underneath which fit perfectly onto the RNS

Believe me, it's a very easy thing to do.

You only need to remove one of the plastic housings. The other fits straight on.
