Title: Help! Re: mk5 Gti rear valance
Post by: JohnRoberts on September 25, 2013, 11:18:18 pm
Hi, not sure if I'm posting in the right section as I'm a newbie, but looking to get a gti rear valance for my gt. Do VW do one without an exhaust cut out? Thanks in advance

Not that I know of.

You're better getting a GTI backbox (or the GT170 one in for sale section) and putting that on your existing pipework, makes such a difference, I did it on my GT.

Mounting points are all the same, you just might be looking at a mismatch of pipe bore but easily fixed with a reducer pipe either welded or clamped on.

If you click on my sig, the blue mk5 has a plain valance with a GTI backbox if you want an idea.

Thanks David

Needed someone to clarify that for me as a few people had asked.
