Looking for new coilovers as mine don't give me a drop I want so just interested in new ones if anyone can drop some pictures and a spec of coilovers. Thanks
-
Give still static a call look for the on Facebook or Google Simon sweets is the man to talk about a big drop on coil overs H&R ultra lows I think they stick the lowest coil overs in the country I believe
-
It all depends on budget really.
If you can afford it then go for the H&R ultra lows from still static
I went for FK silverline, you get a very low drop when you remove the helper spring but the ride is pretty harsh
Heres my car with helper springs removed and around 10mm of threads left front and back

Looks good and specially when you can go lower.
What about AP coilovers? Are they any good?
-
AP coilovers are good quality currently running them on my Edition30 but H&R ultra lows if you want more lows I guess :happy2:
-
I don't have any experience with ap

If you want lows you have several choices depends on money
I would always recommend air for serious lows it's just not practical running decked without it. Anyone who says it is, is just trying to live up to the "scene".
Air is the best way.
If you have the budget for it that is.
Otherwise for around £200 you can buy some FK AK streets.
Which go VERY low.
Or you can have H&R Ultralows -> StillStatic kits (which are basically H&R just modded slightly).
-
Another shout for H&R Ultra Lows, they go mega low. Drop me a PM if you want a price on them.
-
KW Ultra Lows get my vote. Incredible drop and ride comfort, Oli's DTM here, still has 40mm left all round to come down.

I'll be going V3 Ultra Lows on my ED30, but most probably Clubsports.

H&R Ultra lows are the best to go for if you could afford them but if its a low budget I'd recommend FK Streets. Currently run them myself and have been great. Just make sure you clean them every month or two to keep them in good nick.
I'm all the way down on the rear with the adjuster in place and I have 17 threads left up front with no helper springs.

I've also found a photo from VWVortex. This golf has no adjusters in the rear and no bumpstops. No helpers up from and no threads remaining.

Safe to say they'll be low enough for you!

All depends what your budget is also. FKs are cheap and cheerful :innocent:
-
A word of genuine advice.
H&R Ultralows or the Stillstatic ones are POINTLESS.
You can be laying frame with threads left.
