Can anyone recommend a good clutch for my golf gti mk5 it's 360bhp :happy2:
Thanks

sachs/helix/loba
all will do the job, bear in mind thought that Helix and Loba do use Sachs parts and then modify them slightly so if you are paying more for one of those brands it comes down to whether the modifcations are meaningful or whether you are simply paying for the name. Avoid Southbend!
i have a sachs but would be tempted to try loba if needed another :happy2:

Ok thanks I will have a look at them. Really appreciate your help :happy2:
Thanks

Although just I add it, allegedly the OEM ones for upto 400bhp. I will be putting this goths test over the next few weeks!

Its torque that kills the clutch not so much hp.

It will slip straight away, for sure

Yes it is slipping already. The torque kills them I have had to have my torque turned down for now until I get a better clutch and a diff on it then i can take it back to be finished off :driver:
Thanks your help lads

the oem ones are made of cheese and turn into crumbly Lancashire at the mere mention of stage 2+

I've got a Sachs. It's Alright, absolutely no slip and instant up take of the power I will say though that it does have a reasonably heavy pedal but you get used to it. I think the helix seems to be getting the better press at the moment
