After a few years of strong British sunshine, lol, my headlights are beginning to suffer and are going slightly opaque.
If I get a new or second hand set, can I just swap them over or do they need to be coded? Like everything else!!
-
Would you try to sand them instead? There's a guide in the 'how to' section.
-
Yes I've seen it, its something I could do but it looks a bit tedious. I dont think I have the patients these days.
-
I've just swapped mine and it's one of the easiest jobs to do ...very easy to remove gril and bumper ...no coding nessasary

Really? There can't be an easy job on a golf lol. Every job I've done so far has been a complete lady garden. Thanks mate, it doesn't sound so bad after all. I'll maybe see if I can find a set. :happy2:
-
Aye no coding needed.
Just remove front grill and bumper and remove old lights, pop in new ones, test them. Put bumper and grill back on, job done.

Sound mate, I'll PM you if I'm interested.
-
If you decide to change, I changed mine this video helped out a fair bit
-
Cheers mate, that doesn't look too difficult.
I'm thinking I will have to reset the headlights after. A garage door or wall would probably do without going to an MOT test station?
-
I marked mine up against the wall ...but were still out so went down mot place when he was quite and he did them for free
