Will be ordering some coils for the mk5 when I return from Holiday. Looks for opinions on the above coilovers, ride quality and build quality ?
Im not looking to run "scene lows" but something more than a set of springs can offer. Iits a daily for the wife so needs to ride as close to stock as poss (I know the lower you go the worse it will be)
Yes I know Ultra lows are the best but im not spending 1k on coils for the wifes daily..
Soo pics and opinions would be great!!
Thanks in advance
Dave

Weitecs

From that list i'd choose the weitecs. I did 70k miles on a set on my last vRS, very good kit, comfy too.
Current car has H&R monotubes, better ride but a lot more money than the Weitecs.

I have fk highsports as they go the lowest on a budget, thats what i wanted.
But being honest the ride is not great.

How are finding the Monotubes? I think they'll be the ones going on my car soon.

Ap's. Very happy with mine

I'm on the same boat ... I have my eyes on V-maxx set with damping adjustment.

AP's comfy ride + good German build quality :happy2:

They're very good. Prob too soft if you're doing track days but lovely on the road. Much better setup for me than the Bilstein b16's I had before.

^^^^ I don't want a hide ride so that's good to hear, will be no more than fast road for me. :happy2:

40k on Weitecs. Very happy with them. The ride is better than the OEM Audi S-Line suspension I had, but will probably not be quite as supple as a GTI

That's exactly as I'd decsribe the weitecs too. Spot on.
H&R are more supple than weitec but you can't fault weitecs for the money.

Weitecs! Made by KW so you know you got the great quality build, and they are comfy!

I have AP's on my Rocco.
Ride quality is brilliant, but rear shocks made a clunking noise almost immediatly and i cant get the car to sit level either :fighting:
No grease or C spanners included. A little disapointed overall :sad1:
