hi all
i'm wondering if someone knows the answer to this...
what is the smallest size alloy wheel that can be to a mk6 gt tdi?.... reason being, I can get hold of a set of good 15" mk5 Misano alloys with winter tyres ready fitted...cheap. but they're a long drive away and hassle to only find out they wouldnt go over my calipers!
so...would misano alloys fit over the brake calipers on a CR140 GT TDI?
regards

Pretty sure they use the same disc sizes as the mk5 so 15" OEM wheels will just clear them.
I have 15" winter steels on the wife's Seat which had 288mm discs

As mentioned above, 15inch alloys should fit. I managed to fit 16 inch alloys over GTI brakes last year (and will do this year as well). The GTI brakes are 312mm so the smaller 140 TDi brakes; 288mm should fit comfortably under 15" wheels. :happy2:
