Yup should be there.

Will be good to see some faces :happy2: anyone heading up from the SE?

We have a Convoy leaving Camberly around 6am and meeting closer as well at around 8.
-
normally the worst organised show of the VW calendar bar Spring Fest (which VW Action also organise) so will be giving it a miss this year

Coming from Dartford, looking for a nice convoy
-
If there's a Dartford convoy let me know :happy2: just hoping my cars back from the sprayers by then :ashamed:
-
Had to give this a miss....9hr nights at the weekend and a show in rain that's over 100 miles away made my decision for me! :sad1:
-
Didn't miss much - shame about the weather.

Did anyone get a chance to go down the strip?
-
Strip was closed all day.
I went in the show and shine only to come away with no prizes. Rather than my car let me down it turns out I wasn't actually judged, as despite going into the show and shine area I was apparently not given a form needed and no-one mentioned anything to me about that!!! Until it was too late (a friend asked me about the form).
The organisation of the show was terrible. There were no trade stands at all (perhaps unsurprising with the weather).
While I had a great day out with my friends, it was the hanging out with my friends that did it rather than the show.
Going from Westside (the last show I went to) which was probably the best organized show of the year - to this, was shocking just how bad it really was. I would have expected better to be honest even with a small turnout.
Spent most of the day in the crappy cafe selling shoes that passed for burgers and messing around on the Dizzy Rascals course in a mates car.

Sounds like grounds for a refund or at least an offer of a voucher for another show!

I heard that on days before when Santa Pod had been rained off, they would give out free vouchers but unfortunately nothing? Perhaps it is wrong to expec something back, I wouldn't want my £15 back (it's a pointless sum of money to argue about) but a free visit for another event would have been nice, for all 150 cars that were there.. it was so quiet I'm not even joking it was like a post-apocalyptic ghost town.
Mike Brewer was there though. He was on top form with the banter, and gave out the trophy's to the winners (those who got an entry form anyway!!)
It's a little sad really. GTI Springfest (where I spent a large amount of time having blown my gearbox there ) was a bit sporadic in the placement of stands but overall was a good show. I think any show at Santa Pod needs the strip and without it, it's basically a large carpark that's awkward to get to with roads local access roads that will smash your undercarriage.

need to go to this this year!!
