Title: Scrape sound between 1st and 2nd

In the last week the car has started making a scrape like sound between first and second when you come off the throttle. It only happens when the car is cold and doesn't effect the car but it's a bit of a nasty sound.

Anyone had this before or know what it could be?

It could easily be the alternator pulley so the above will help to eliminate that item to start with.
