Post by: Gman30 on October 13, 2013, 04:41:47 pm
Whats the best non oiled performance filter out there? Anyone tried a few? Id rather a dry setup as to not mess with the air mass sensor.

Green cotton fliter or a pipercross one.

This is what K&N say about oiled filters and maf.

Did for me. Notable throttle response and mine made more than any other stock GTI's at JKM dyno day, by about 7bhp  :happy2:

My mapped power figure was a few hp better than expected too. My local tuner has a K&N demonstration with a fan and an air box, when you put the OEM filter in the amount of air you feel is much less

We recommend the BMC's as the best panel filter, same as the green in design and function and not foam.  But has a polyurethane edging so will last a long time without cracking!
