From Kunzmann (Geman OEM peeps) or from US eBay.
~~ Clicky here ~~ (http://www.kunzmann.de/shop/en/tuning-styling-vw-golf-5-v-led-rear-lights-set-candy-red-for-vw-golf-5-v.htm)

They have a slightly better brighter/crisper light output than either OEM unit and best of all they have an indicator function that can actually be seen by peeps behind you.
Not the best vid but gives you an idea.....

Cheers MC,
US ebay ones are £30 cheaper, exactly the same product?
-
^^^^ Yes, same product.
Don't forget to add Import Duty (if applicable) and VAT on top of the price from the US. Customs can be a pain and as all items have to be declared as to their contents and value there's no getting away from it unless you know someone in the US who can buy and ship to you. Duty is waived as the duty owed is less than £9 but VAT of 20% is payable so add another £50.
Personally I'd get them from Kunzmann, only import duty is payable (no VAT) on goods over the value of £135 but even over that price the duty is waved if said duty is less than £9 IIRC (which it will be on an item for only £250 or so) so no duty is payable on the lights from Germany.

Cheers MC, Top bloke! :happy2: An expensive way to fix abit of light fogging!

Love the look of the LED rears. One thing I've always wondered though, is it just a simple case of taking the old lights out and plugging the new ones in? Does any coding/ extra work need to be done seeing as they are LEDs?
Thanks.
-
^^^^ They are just plug and play. Its a good idea to get the "bulb warning light" turned off with VCDS though as the LED draw a lot less power so can throw up the warning. The units can also be coded so that just the outter part can only be seen (deleting the light output from the very central section) giving the "Polo" look as per the OEM clusters but with LED's.
Sh*t pic (dodgy iPhone makes them look orange ) On mine.....
