hI,
Has anyone ever had a problem with a creaking noise from front of car when going over speed bumps or turning the steering wheel or driving on uneven road surfaces?
My car is a 2005 gti.
Mechanic has changed both Ball joints and ARB Drop links and the problem remains.
ITs a really annoying noise so any advise would be great.
Is there anyone out there who has managed to solve this problem?
Thanks
dave

Could be ARB bushes. Had it before on my mk4 and on my 5 the rears do it from time to time.
-
+1 for above or the top strut bearings would be my next move.
-
On my car it was the front bushes in the lower control arms.
-
My money would be on ARB bushes also
-
Could also be the steering rack as early cars had a problem with them

Theres so many thiings it could be. Just dont know what to try next?
ARB BUSHES
UPPER STRUT BEARINGS
TIE ROD ENDS
COIL SPRINGS
POWER STEERING RACK?
One thing i do notice when jacking the car up I get a creak coming from my suspension spring on the drivers side but not the passenger side.
Could this be the issue and what would need changing?

Creaking problem solved! :happy2:
It was the suspension arm bush that had dryed up and needed some grease!
