If I was to purchase a flat bottom steering wheel what sort of money would I be looking to pay
Tried looking online couldn't get a rough idea on
Can anyone help
Thanks

£150 for a non MFSW with air bag.
People charge more but they are not really worth.
£230 for one with MFSW
-
How come I can not find one less than £400 :surprised:
-
Probably because you're looking at brand new Mk6+ ones?
They come up occasionally and your best place to buy one is on an owners site as Ebay have rules about not selling with airbags and they generally are more expensive on there.

i'd advise spending more money and getting a Mk6 one anyway. look better and more functionality.

Ok so I just bought a mfsw with dsg paddles
my car is a 2005 gti with highline
Will it be a matter of coding only or do I need to run a additional wire to make the dsg paddles work?
Thanks in advance

IIRC you need 973 & 974 highline clocks to be able to access the highline menu via mfsw, you may also need a new steering wheel module.
Not sure about the dsg paddles though.

That's personal choice really. I prefer the Mk5 GTI wheel to the Mk6 flat bottomed one, others may be different :happy2:
And what more functionality do you get?

I mainly purchased so I can use dsg paddles

X72 clocks can access the menu via new style MFSW also, which is handy as he has a 2005

i'm not a Golf owner, but one assumes that with 50% more buttons there are more functions that can be operated:

Will I have x72 clocks?

If you have highline, possibly. Clocks ending 0/1/2 are easier to DIY with a cheap cable

I read them threads the only wiring it mentions is rewiring airbag?
What diy cable do I need to run?

Think you misunderstood, I was talking about an unofficial VAG Commander OBD cable to reprogram via laptop
