Title: Slack gear lever whilst in gear
Post by: Scottymon on October 16, 2013, 04:51:19 pm
Been a problem for a while this one, used to be fine.

Whilst in gear, any gear, there's about 2-3cm of sideways movement, engaging gears is fine.

I've tried resetting the gearlinkages, even replaced a worn bush, but it didn't make any difference.  Is there anything else I could try... is it perhaps a localized gear stick problem?

Anyone else got this?

By the way the cable has those bushes on both ends of the cable not just the gear box end!

If the rear bushes (cables to lever)don't fix it then it could be the gear knob fixing as shown in here or the gear lever bottom bush which is cheap and easy replacement.
