well finally got around to checking my dv as i was hoping this would be the cause of the problem im having but as u can see from th pic it all seems fine, its a rev c.
what a pain in the arse to check! i did a rear wheel bearingg yesterday too and that was a doddle compared!.
the problem im having is when its not fully up to temp, when i accelerate and i dont mean hammering it just normal accelerating the car seems to shudder, its really hard to explain ive had it on vagcom but showed no fault any ideas what else it could be?
-
Coil pack? Does it only shudder at certain revs or above/below a certain temp?
What fuel do you use in it and when were the plugs last changed?
-
the coil packs got changed under warranty but could be them, is there anyway to test?
it happens when not up to fully temp , when its fully warmed up its ok and it does it in any gear too
-
It's difficult without getting the codes read or having a spare known-good coil pack that you can test as part of a process of elimination.
Do you know anyone with vcds?
-
Sounds like coils or Plugs to me?
-
yeah ive had it scanned and its showing no faults
-
Try driving up a decent hill when cold, preferably in higher gear, giving its plenty acceleration and see if the misfire repeats every time.
If it does I would change the fuel filter and plugs then re do the test?
-
is that what it is then misfire?
-
just been for a drive and it didnt do it, maybe it was the wheel bearing ive just replaced?
-
What plugs are you using?
-
im not sure ive never had them out. just looking at the service history and no tick to say theyve ever been changed so will get some and change them, are these the correct ones? 101905631H
