Title: Would a failed coil pack affect the boost of the car?
Post by: Homer on October 23, 2013, 07:05:46 pm
The car is having boost issues, can't hear or feel the turbo kicking in at all, going to get a new DV fitted but was wondering if it could be a failing coil pack? Thanks for any input as always

Yes.... if the coilpack is causing a missfire then you will experience a significant drop in performance.

Thanks for the input, one final point- it's the first 3 gears where this is noticeable, 4,5 and 6 still seem to have some boost although not as much as before. Not sure if this points more towards a specific fault of those mentioned?
