Title: How loud is the Ed30 to a pedestrian?

I have had my ED30 for a few weeks now and I love the sound of the car as a driver... Nice deep burble... Having not actually heard one as a pedestrian I wondered just how loud they are? Are they just the same as a standard GTI? I'm not really fussed about having a loud car as I have a Yamaha R1 that makes a loud noise! I was just curious if the ED30 sounds ace from the point of view of the casual pedestrian ;)

I don't trust any of my mates to do a drive by past me in it before it gets suggested ;)

Wouldn't say it's loud. Mines even with a blue flame TBE which is considered one of the louder system still produced a low deep sound.

DSG farts are epic tho

I have a miltek turbo back on mine, and its quiet when i drive around normally and a little louder when i give it some.

i am very much the same and dont really trust my friends to drive my car, but 2 weeks ago i wanted to see how the car dropped and went since it had it last map. so i got my brother, the only person i trust to drive it. i have to say i was very shocked with how loud the car is from outside, i really liked it  :jumping:

I had a blueflame suitcase delete on my gti, was still reasonably quiet but made it sound nice without being boomy and horrible. It made dsg farts amazing. Just took it off to go on the eddy when I get it.

This is experience as a driver, pedestrian and testimony from a civic driving mate that didn't have enough vtec so had to listen to car farts instead :D

Standard Eddy is pretty quiet TBH.  

 If you have an intake system fitted, that always gets more attention than the exhaust. My BCS Sport Powervalve is pretty loud on WOT but the woosssshhhh dishhh still get the notice by peeps.
