I installed a set of Bilstein B12's after I won them on ebay for a very very good price http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121187306284?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
They have been on the car for a week but don't seem to have lowered the car at all, how long should they take to settle?? I have done approx 300 miles in that week also.
And here is how my skoda is sitting after a week with them on.
Cheers
Karl

Well sort of.... The don't look right, as the car sits high!
-
:ashamed: Umm should have read it properly
Yeah mate that's a bit on the high side :fighting:
Might explain why they moved to H&R's and then Eibach's

Any pictures of the actual springs?
-
here is the only pic I got of the actual kit I fitted, when it stops raining I will get a better pic of the actual springs

if it does not settle down im thinking about fitting some H&R 50mm drop springs.

The seller has a couple more sets for cheap too. I'll keep an eye on them, but I don't think they will lower the GTi any more than standard. Unless I am mistaken?
-
is it just the springs that will drop the height?

Yes

I will be getting my kit fitted this friday, but I'm using some eibach sport line springs. Got the kit from the same guy as you, just for the dampers really! :happy2:
-
can you measure the drop before and after please mate
-
Will do, did you get yours sorted in the end?
-
wow , that looks a great deal as I just paid a significant amount more for the new kit. (with Eibach springs) :happy2:
if the skoda is normally -30mm then the std kit would not lower the car at all.
From your pic the front looks higher than expected , are both sides the same ? when fitting is it all on the correct order? springs seated ok?

No mate, the rear has dropped about 10mm but the front is still as high as before, im either gonna live with it or get some more lowering springs, or might even attack the springs with an angle grinder a little.
