Title: is it ok to uprate front dampers only
Post by: micaerin on October 29, 2013, 01:26:40 pm
HI I'm looking to get some eibach sport lines, and whilst they are getting fitted i was told its best to change dampers, so I'm looking at some bilstein B8 Sprint, but its slowly turning into an expensive job so looking at front dampers only with eibach sport lines front and rear with oem rear dampers. Is this not advisable?
Thanks in advance

Oh well, thanks for the reply.  Just got my self Bilstein B12 Kit consists of B8 Sprint Dampers front and rear with Eibach sport line springs. Seem to get a good write up on here.

Do you have the B12 kit fitted to your's?
if so did the front dampers come with buffer stops and protective sleeve? as mine didn't
Thanks in advance

Mine was a B12 Pro Kit which they now sell under another name. I think they came with bump stops but not sleeves. TBH I couldn't be 100% as JKM fitted mine and I never saw them in the box before fitting.

OK thanks for the reply. i was just wanting to make sure i had all the parts to give to my mechanic so he can take old strut off and keep complete, making it easier to put back onto the car when i sell car on and put it back to standard in the future.
