Title: Moisture in spare wheel well
Post by: Chrismeardon on October 31, 2013, 01:04:48 pm
Hi chaps,

just purchased my 3rd GTI, this time i've gone it right and gone for an ed 30!

Having a poke in the boot i noticed some moisture on the spare wheel and in the wheel well, the carpet ontop is dry it's as if the moisture is coming up through the car but there are no signs.

Are there any common spots aroudn the boot I should check for leaking?

Thanks in advance

The rubber umbilical thing that goes from the body to the boot lid wasn't seated properly on my car so water was getting in & running down into the boot. It was going behind the trim onto the boot floor & wheel well without making the carpet wet. All I did was re seat it & not had a leak since
