Title: New Ed30 Owner Cheshire. (Updated pics)
Post by: skriller on October 31, 2013, 09:38:28 pm
Finally got one!!  :jumping:

after almost a year of waiting and biding my time, i managed to get myself a Tornado Red Ed30! 3dr.

have to just say wow... i have only driven it from the place i bought it to my home but.. wow... i love it!

I have been a member for a while but seeing as i sold my old car in February i haven't had much to contribute.

But now i have my new toy i will post up pics because i am damn proud of it

this is a great forum too! i have read and used a few ideas for my old golf mk5 GT TDi from this forum and am very appreciative of the effort some of you guys go through to help out others  :drinking:

So! here is to my new Ed30 and many more posts on here  :P

OOOO K,

still havent managed to get any pics without getting hit by a tree...

but!

i am about to place an RCD510 into my new Ed30, the car already has the RCD500 6 cd changer, would i need to update the CAN bus to accommodate it or is it a straight swap?

i only ask as i had a look to see if i could get the version of my CAN bus but cant see the damn thing...

any help appreciated! And i do know this has been talked about, about a million times but the 500 is similar to the 510 apart from the touch screen.

 :popcornsoda:

EDIT: found out where it is and can see it, but i dont feel particularly comfortable removing the windscreen wipers and motor to get to the box, any suggestions? :scared:

Although I do scan the new member bit in the hope of seeing my old one pop up the lack of miles and stonechips mean this one definitely isn't
Enjoy it mate, fantastic cars  :happy2:

as i haven't been able to get some pics up that arent at midnight and completely wet.. a trip to tesco was the only option!  :stupid:

Not as shiny as its covered in road crap and dirt,

but i have cleaned it since and it definitely sparkles...
