Title: Car pulling slightly to the right when accelerating
Post by: Itguy on November 05, 2013, 06:20:36 am
Morning all

This is a new one on me.

Our car seems to be pulling slightly to the right when you accelerate. Doesn't have to be a hard acceleration either.

I noticed it on the motorway last night for the first time. Was in the outside lane and just squeezed the gas on a bit and found myself moving across the lane to the right.

Any ideas of what to check??

Tracking/wheel alignment. Go to a decent garage and  they will sort it.

I'd get a 4 wheel alignment done. My golf had always pulled to the left slighty and after numerous tracking/wheel alignments later it stilled pulled to the left

So i eventually got a 4 wheel alignment done and it's perfect now :happy2:

As the guys above or saying, it will be a tracking or alignment issue.

Could also be worn console bushes.

Yes I had this with worn bushes however mine pulled left. Depends what side they go.
